Timetable + stuff to bring

Hey people it’s one week until the event! We included a first draft of the timetable below. At the bottom of the post you can find a packing list and directions to get here 🙂

We hope you will come with other stuff to propose because we have room still on the timetable. We are also looking for people who might like to present skillshares on hunt sabotage or veterinary care specifically (we can help with travel costs). And is anyone able to translate one of the discussions from French into English?? (Email us at forestantispedays[at]riseup[dot]net)

Train

If you are coming by train, get the s19 (it goes from Cologne, also from Cologne/Bonn airport) to Düren and get off at Buir. (You can ride the s19 pretty easy without a ticket, they only rarely check). When you arrive at Buir station, walk down the steps and turn left (away from town) cross over the highway/railway for about 5 minutes till you reach a junction, turn left and from there after another 5 minutes or so turn right down a dirt track leading straight to the main forest entrance.

Car

You can park a car/van/caravan either at the main entrance to the forest (closest to the gathering itself) or at Hambi Camp, a legal camp in the nearby village of Morschenich, about a 40 minute walk away.

Hitchhiking

For hitchiking good stops to aim for are Merzenich junction off the A4 autobahn, which runs between Aachen and Cologne, Merzenich train station is just one stop from Buir. Or Frechen-konigsdorf Europark, off the A4. From here it’s not a far walk (good description on the Cologne hitchwiki) to Frechen train station which is a few stops from Buir, from here you can get the s19 direction Duren to stop Buir (see above).

…… When you get to the main forest entrance, just follow signs until you find us! Safe travels 🙂
